Mudiwa school is up and running with phases 1 and 2 completed and phase 3 under construction.

Mudiwa School - Our goals are to:​

  • Improve lives, build hope and develop bright futures through quality educational opportunities

  • Reduce walking distance to school by >50% (some children walk 9 mi round trip daily)

  • Increase the level of education within neighboring communities by offering online courses to adults

  • Facilitate volunteers from around the world to teach skills and foster a higher standard of living

Mudiwa Primary School is being built in phases. Each building phase is based on funding availability. Phases 1 and 2 are complete with 280 students attending school daily. Phase 3 is under construction.

Building Phases

Phase 1  - $270,000 - Completed

Clear land, fencing, water (bore hole), power, four classrooms, restroom block and staff housing (2 duplexes)

Phase 2 - $165,000

Four classrooms, including a computer lab, and sports field

Phase 3  - $260,000

Six classrooms, toilets, and kitchen/dining Hall

​

Phase 4 - $290,000

Classrooms, housing and adult learning center

​In January 2025, Mudiwa School opened Phase 1 with 204 enrolled students. With  Phase 2 opening in January 2026, we now have 280 students. Phase 3 is under construction with six more classrooms.
