Progress

After years of groundwork, our vision of building a school in Zimbabwe is a reality. We are thrilled to share that Phase 1 of the Mudiwa School officially opened its doors on January 14, 2025 with 204 students! Just one year later, in January 2026, Phase 2 opened with four more classrooms, including a state-of-the-art computer lab. Located in a rural area, the school currently serves 280 students.

In January, 2025, we opened with four classrooms, serving preschool through 6th grade, supported by eight full-time teachers and a dedicated head mistress. In addition to classroom instruction using a government-approved curriculum, we’ve built essential infrastructure: bathroom facilities, a water pumphouse, staff housing (to attract top teaching talent), and a meal program providing breakfast and lunch to every child.  Six classrooms are currently under construction for Phase 3. Progress and construction continues and is dependent on funding.
